Le Pain Quotidien, the Belgian born bakery cafe with over 100 locations worldwide, hired Valerio to help design and build their restaurant locations in Southern California. The almost entirely organic brand asked the Valerio design team to develop efficient floor plans around their retail bakery and their ubiquitous communal table which can seat up to 40+ people.
Valerio has a direct relationship with the Le Pain Quotidien store development team, who encourages our designers to push the envelope in adaptive reuse of the mostly semi-industrial warehouse type spaces it prefers. We often expose the original structural elements such as brick walls, wood trusses, and other structural elements. The resulting designs create warm and welcoming spaces for dining and meeting that attract hundreds of customers at each location every day.
